EHA driver and electro-hydrostatic actuator testing

MotorTech EHA is a driver card for electro-hydrostatic actuators: FOC-controlled 3-phase motor drive, 8-channel poppet valve output, 2-channel LVDT and 2-channel pressure input. It can be bought separately or used with EmbedTech HCS as a test system.

Tell us about your test needs
EmbedTech HCS is at the proof-of-concept (PoC) and trial stage. It makes no claim of certification, standards compliance or series use.

Why does EHA testing need its own driver?

In an electro-hydrostatic actuator, motion is controlled through a pump turned by an electric motor rather than through a servo valve. Testing therefore has to handle motor drive, valve outputs, position and pressure together.

MotorTech EHA brings these functions onto one card. It drives the motor with FOC control, Hall feedback and phase current feedback, and reads the actuator’s state through LVDT and pressure inputs.

What can you test?

You can try your control algorithm with the actuator before the final custom hardware is finished.

Motor drive

3-phase motor, nominal 30 A, FOC control.

Motor feedback

Hall feedback and phase current feedback.

Valve outputs

8-channel poppet valve output.

Position and pressure

2-channel LVDT and 2-channel pressure input.

Communication and service

CAN bus with UART/JTAG service interfaces.

Who is it for?

  • Test and verification teams in aerospace and defence
  • Industrial hydraulics teams working on presses, construction machinery, calibration stations and production-line test automation
  • R&D teams and university laboratories

Frequently asked questions

Can MotorTech HSV and EHA be bought separately?

Yes. MotorTech HSV, the servo and proportional valve driver, and MotorTech EHA, the electro-hydrostatic actuator driver, can each be bought separately.

Can it be used without EmbedTech HCS?

MotorTech EHA can be bought separately and communicates over CAN bus. We can assess the fit with your own system together.

Does it replace a hydraulic test bench?

No. EmbedTech HCS covers the control electronics. The hydraulic power unit and mechanical connections remain separate parts of your test setup.

What stage is the product at?

EmbedTech HCS is at the proof-of-concept (PoC) and trial stage. We can assess together whether it suits your test scenario.

Is it developed in Türkiye?

EmbedTech is developed with local engineering at Teknopark Istanbul, and technical support is provided locally as well.
