Servo valve driver card and test system
MotorTech HSV is a current-controlled driver card for servo and proportional valves: ±20 mA, ±40 mA, ±80 mA, 0–200 mA and 0–400 mA drive, 2-channel LVDT reading on the board and CAN bus communication. It can be bought separately or used with EmbedTech HCS as a test system.
EmbedTech HCS is at the proof-of-concept (PoC) and trial stage. It makes no claim of certification, standards compliance or series use.
Why is a servo valve driven by current?
A servo valve’s torque and position are proportional to its coil current. Because coil resistance changes with temperature, voltage drive leads to current errors.
A servo valve driver therefore controls the coil current in a closed loop. MotorTech HSV also drives the coil under current control and monitors current and voltage.
What can you test?
Embedded software teams can try out the control side on the bench before the final custom hardware is finished.

Control algorithms
Hydraulic control algorithms tried with real valves and sensors.
Communication
CAN bus, Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, UART, SPI, I²C and Bluetooth interfaces.
Sensor reading
LVDT, load cell, Hall/encoder, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V and PNP/NPN digital inputs.

Develop on the bench, verify in the field
- Develop the control software on the bench, with the servo valve and LVDT connected to the same case.
- Send commands and monitor the drive current and sensor feedback.
- Carry the same box to the test point and verify the control next to the real subsystem.
Who is it for?
- Test and verification teams in aerospace and defence
- Industrial hydraulics teams working on presses, construction machinery, calibration stations and production-line test automation
- R&D teams and university laboratories
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a servo valve driver and a tester?
A driver supplies the valve coil with current. A test setup adds commanding, feedback reading and monitoring. In EmbedTech HCS these functions work in the same system.
Can MotorTech HSV and EHA be bought separately?
Yes. MotorTech HSV, the servo and proportional valve driver, and MotorTech EHA, the electro-hydrostatic actuator driver, can each be bought separately.
Does it replace a hydraulic test bench?
No. EmbedTech HCS covers the control electronics. The hydraulic power unit and mechanical connections remain separate parts of your test setup.
What does LVDT feedback do?
An LVDT converts position into an electrical signal. Reading that signal lets you compare the commanded movement with the actual one.
What stage is the product at?
EmbedTech HCS is at the proof-of-concept (PoC) and trial stage. We can assess together whether it suits your test scenario.
Is it developed in Türkiye?
EmbedTech is developed with local engineering at Teknopark Istanbul, and technical support is provided locally as well.
